   I’m the titled “colossal douche”. Apparently, for stating my aversion to older gentlemen, I have also been lumped in with megadouches and assholes.

   I’d like to clarify that it is not agism which induces my dislike of older gentlemen(read 16+ years my senior), but experience having dated older men…They think they know everything about everything, and make assumptions(such as the flagrant and inflammatory statements which I’ve been slandered with).

   Now I understand some people make assumptions, but in this case the assumption has gone too far. I have been made an ass of over someone else’s hurt feelings, and that is unjust. I merely stated my preference, and like opinions, everyone is entitled to their own.

   You are a massive hypocrite, how can you complain about people making assumptions when you just made an absurd generalization about older men? Do you honestly think that just because you dated a few guys who were older and were douchebags that all of them are? Are you gonna be a know it all asshole when you’re older too?

   Nothing wrong with your preference, but the way you phrased it makes you seem like a douche. Why not say “prefer guys my age” instead of being crass and douchey like in your profile? When you phrase your sentence into a positive one, you wouldn’t end up on this website.

   I’m a firm believer that young people should date their own age, however, the way you stated it in your profile was very douchey. It’s NEVER smart to talk about what you DON’T like – instead maybe focus on what you DO like, especially considering you have such a limited amount of space in which to do so. And seriously, so what if an older person messages you? Does it really take that long to simply ignore them?

    Gordon, you hit it right on the head. As a “fossil” (45), I’d just like to point out that douches like these age just like everyone else. However, douches like these age worse than everyone else because an older doughe is just an asshole.

    Sorry Mike. But you asked for it when you started off with namecalling. No one, no matter what their age, wants to be compared to a dinosaur that’s been dead for several million years.

    An older man once gave me some wonderful advice: Treat others the way you want to be treated and more often than not, they’ll treat you well too.
